Wednesday, 30 November 2016

Hello Everyone 🙈 can't believe we have less than a month for 2016 to come to an end. Its been a year full of its own testaments good or bad... Thankful for life and family, what are you thankful for?
Todays outfit is more like a cool kid look,  I super love it, because its a trend and its in style. Bell sleeves has been a thing this year and thanks to the5Kshop HERE i'm able to add to my wardrobe this colorful and playful look. This lipstick material was very present in the style scene this year and I love how this one was twisted to give it a more laid back yet sophisticated look.

I'm now in the cool kids club (WHATEVER THAT MEANS) styled it with the only pair of sneakers I love, i'm sure y'all have already noticed, what are your thoughts about this trend? and should we have it or make it stop?

This Orsay Outift was perfect and I styled it this way for the concluded Lagos Fashion and design week even though I couldn't get good pictures, so I decided to re do a shoot. Holiday season is fast approaching and in the fashion scene its an excuse for more colors and flamboyant mode to dressing. I picked this top from a thrift shop close to my house and it was black, suede and had little linings of  shimmers could hide my excitement, you can also buy some of my clothings off my wardrobe HERE

LETS TALK GIRL SHAMMING

Monday, 21 November 2016

Hello fam, y'all know that most times I'm all about being positive, but this is serious girl shamming. Recently I came across this article on a site about the just concluded fashion week and how bloggers where exempted and it turned out to be because of the kind of clothes they wear. Guess what it was written by a lady, a fellow blogger, her reason was that thrift bloggers don't have a clear chance of creating influence in the industry, because their outfits don't fit the cliche standards, they've set. Although I took a personal approach on my IG page and made it seem like the rant was about me, in all honesty it wasn't. I was really heart broken that someone felt they had a wield of influence to bully and sham people, who have found ways of becoming who they want to be and worse to see it was a woman in our fold.

So to all the ladies out there your dreams are valid, with or without whatever your situation may be and yea someone always has your back and would speak up when necessary ....😚😚😚😚

SUEDE PANTS x RALPH LAUREN

Tuesday, 15 November 2016

Hello loves, adjusting to the weather here can be tricky especially when it comes to styling outfits, so I've decided to just really put on outfits as the spirit leads. Lately Suede materials and outfits have been like a major item to add to my wardrobe. Few years back I really would have sworn them off.

I decided to style this Ralph Lauren suede pants which I think are absolutely adorable sorry for  the swam of pictures, but what are your thoughts on my outfit and my steal shoe from a vintage store close to my house!! never underestimate where you can possibly find great thrift items..😆

PRINT FLARE YEAR END WEATHER

To be honest, most times my dressing mode is usually influenced by the weather and currently, the sun is blaring hot and thats the only excuse I have to wear like a fitted cropped top and this my jumia pants I got HERE. What influences your dress mode?

DETAILS ABOUT MY HAIR X PEEK_A_MINK LASHES

Saturday, 12 November 2016

For some reason lately, penning down a blog post has just been a bore, but we are working on that. I, usually once in a while when I remember to snap the pack of my weave do hair reviews, and for the past three months or four its been hard remembering, but I knew if I didn't do this one, I won't be allowed to rest.

firstly, you might have the best weave in the world but if your stylist isn't so great, you might just end up hating your hair. I used two packs of this Classic Brazilian Hair seen in picture above, which cost me N2,500 per pack, I got it at Utako Market, Abuja. I particularly searched for this hair color for at least 3 hours, good things are tough to come by.

I ended up trimming the tip to give the hair volume as it was very light, y'all come to me for illusion tips (I'm queen there), the hair comes in some form of synthetic look and texture but can withstand heat, apparently whoever invented this must be praised...

WANGER AYU x MADE IN NIGERIA

Its a really exciting period here in Nigeria and one of the major reasons is that our fashion scene is being brought to the fore. Y'all know that one of my favorite brands to rock has been Wanger Ayu who is more like a friend and sister. I really loved this outfit because it is out of my regular colors and I've never worn this much pink in one post. I love the feel of this material and cut of the shirt, and y'all know I can't stay away from wide legged pants or whatever... what are your current favorite Nigerian brands

LAGOS FASHION WEEK
LADUNNI LAMBO
I know I've procrastinated this review but I'll try to still highlight my favorite designers this year till i'm done. So lets talk about Ladunni Lambo, I didn't really think much until I went back to review the photos I took and goodness me, I was impressed with the simplicity yet structured approach to most of the outfits and yes I also loved that the materials had a root like and traditional outlook but yet a modern finish!!

TAKING ON A WHITE ROLE

Tuesday, 8 November 2016

Whatever my headline even means, I really cannot tell but when I decided that I was going to make blond hair, little did I know the attention it would bring and I know some people if they had their way would flog it off my head. My mum although not supportive of it at the beginning let me have my way for two weeks till I took it off! Although my outfit is out of the norm I loved how it gave me this 70's look with the wooded buttons
what are your reactions about the hair?

LAGOS FASHION WEEK DAY 1

Wednesday, 2 November 2016

Lagos Fashion week has come and gone and it was a wonderful experience except for the obvious glitches every Nigerian event would have had, like giving importance to individuals because of wealth or fame and not actual skills of being there. I also regretted not taking a photo at Kelechi Amadi photo boot set up!!
As usual I had my retro style and kept it simple, sometimes I think in Nigeria we try too hard while fashion is exotic, its also an enjoyable creative process that comes without stress, which is why I love Akin Faminu of www.akinfaminu.com his style always tries to transcend home and is definitely relatable, always kills it when it comes to his style.
