BLUE SWAY (SHIFT DRESS)

Do you have that one color that is your favorite, but don’t seem to have choices of it often when you need them, yes I do. The color blue almost in every shade is my favorite, and I just don’t seem to have it in plain daily outfits, (now you all can understand my unending love for denim). I found this outfit in a thrift shop, and one of my basic rules to having any outfit is my ability to wear it in so many ways and this shift dress does it for me, I cant wait to style it again to show y’all how its worn...

THE TRENDY PANTS MY MAMA LIKED

The wide flare jump up pants that where trendy in the 70’s is back with a bang. Although I’ve tried my possible best not to play into the hands of this trend, lets just say it caught up with me. I went thrift shopping the other day and found this suede pants with an amazing embellished end and finishing to it,  I fell in love, this pictures do them no justice and it was the most amazing feeling when I slid them between my legs...

THE DAY ABUJA STOOD STILL

One of the unusual things to happen in the Federal Capital Territory on a Sunday, is to see a crowd gathered to support an outdoor cause. So it was surprising last week, to see a sardine packed crowd, chatting, eating, dancing, networking and so on.... hehe Abuja stood still, and i'm still hungover from the after effect. I took a few shots which did no justice to the style, food and packed full event that happened. P.S the Mc did an amazing job... Kudos to the organizers

FUN IN A SHIRT DRESS

One of my basic style lessons I've grown to love is that the simpler the style the better, and when I deliberately decide to do an edgy look I go all out. It’s been a while since I found myself in a shirtdress, which was a craze in 2014 summer. I love the way a shirt dress is simple yet edgy and when its worn properly comes off looking great, so I found this vintage feel shirt while vintage shopping the other day. Sorry for the way my picture quality comes out lately, still figuring out how my baby brother lost hold of how to handle a camera. P.S The economy of our country hasn't been so forthcoming or buoyant and I would do a post about it on my lifestyle post but I'll share this passage of the bible and hope it encourages someone today ...

THE THING ABOUT WINNING

It was beautiful to watch yesterday, the face of one woman who has defied all odds, time and time again by going straight for the win. Serena Williams made me and other women, reaffirm that there are no limits to what we can do if we put our hearts to it.

But you see the thing about winning is that some persons would look for an excuse to undermine and make your win look cheap. Yesterday I read few tweets attributing Serena Williams to be a man which has gave her an upper hand, that has brought about her winning streak. Sad as it may be, I realized quite quickly that success doesn’t look like a woman in lingerie...

MOVING IN CAPES

Since the inception of this trend, I’ve never really seen myself rocking it, partly because of my secret hate for the style. Then I went to Lagos early last month and a friend of mine Style by Ayaba of https://www.instagram.com/ayabaofficial/ as she is fondly called, gave me this complete piece, which I immediately fell in love with; The color (which is my favorite) to the flow and how it immediately made me feel like I could conquer the world...
