TUESDAY BANTER

My Tuesdays, are usually a hangover of the weekend and a grasp of Monday and getting out of bed usually is a big deal and for many of us that happens. So its playful tantrums after another in my head with myself and when I get hold of the day, which I try to do early enough, because I feel any energy positive or negative with which you start your day with affect the rest of it. I usually use this opportunity to pen down what I need to get done for the week and schedule my blog post, and draw inspiration from the things around me. So what is your Tuesday Banter BANTER (talkorexchange remarks in agood-humored teasing way)

A LITTLE WHITE

AM JUROSE BROGUES MADE IN NIGERIA

Recently, I was gifted this amazing brogues, from http://www.amjurose.com One of the aims of my blog apart from sharing my style with y'all is help promote brands especially those made here in Nigeria. To be honest, this was dope and comfortable, if you're interested in further information send me a mail or click the link I left above.. by the way I wore it to the launch of a friends clothing line, I love that people are trying to think out of the box to create wealth...  hope everyone is having a nice time, have a great week.. xoxo

EARTH TONE (DIY)

I think my new slogan would be, when in doubt "Do it Yourself" I've bee wanting to have a seamlessly( adjective)(of a fabric or surface)smooth and continuous, with no apparent gaps or spaces between one part and the next) flawless gown, and when I saw this material on a trip to Wuse market I fell in love with it. for the edges of the gown I used  cut pieces of a black bias to join it together, what are your thoughts

SECRET OBSESSION

Hey everyone, today I want to speak about my secret obsession, sunglasses. To be honest these are but a few, I didn't realize how much these had grown in my collection and to be honest I am secretly pleased. I know the questions will be where do I get them from, I'm really not picky, I buy it anytime I see a piece I love, even from an Aboki (A local salesman/Retailer). When I do decide on purpose to purchase one, they seem expensive, but for a less tedious ride I go to TruworthFashion Store or Aliexpress.com and there you go.. thats my tale for the day.. thanks for the positive feedback I appreciate always  Link to purchase HERE HERE

FRIENDS DO IT BEST

I really don't know how people survive without friends Proverbs 18 vs 24 says  A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. so a friend of mine got me this amazing dress while on a trip and according to her she thought it would be a perfect fit on me and hola it was.. it looked like it was made for me and I totally love it.. I paired it with a shoe gifted to me from Davogiz, which I blogged HERE

PHOTO APPS YOU NEED TO KNOW

VSCO CAM

SO CHIC SO ME

You don't see me suited up looking like FLOTUS (First Lady of The United States) all the time, most of my friends do accuse me of looking laid back even on Mondays, oh well I can be chick too and ironically as much as I don't dress much this way, I feel this is who I am.. crazy right

FLAUNTING FLORAL(HOW I'D WEAR FLORAL)

So I recently joined the collaboration of bloggers hosted by DeeVinebut last month I couldn't pull through on the denim choice and decided unfailingly to do that of this month, despite my busy work schedule. The last time I had the floral blogged was HEREand when Dee told me the choice of the month was Floral, I was really excited and decided it was time to pull outfits hanging in the closet bar

AN OPEN LETTER TO CHERI CHERRY

Hello Everyone, today I am taking time out to appreciate a reader of the blog Cheri Cherry. I don't reply most times the beautiful feedback I get from what I do but I read them all, so from time to time, I'll pick a reader and Write an open letter of appreciation to them.
Dear Cheri,
I want to say a big thank you for your kind words on the blog, you make me understand how little details of what I do on the blog, can be of uttermost importance to individuals out there, I read your lengthy contributions and the encouragement, when the words go like "I'm battling with". This letter is to tell you, you're appreciated and I love you..
Yours Faithfully  Grace Alex.

PRINTED PRINTS DURO OLOWU

I was on Pinterest the other day and I saw this beautiful print by Duro Olowu and I thought it would be great to share.

BREAKFAST THOUGHT (PROCRASTINATION)

I really do not think there is anything the devil uses to keep us far behind Gods promise like procrastination. I do procrastinate a lot and I know that I would have achieved a lot if not for my consistent ways of shifting things until the next day. example is in my reading habit, I pick up a book give myself a target of three days and three weeks after I haven't covered as much as half the book, my blog suffers setback too on days like this. So lately I've told myself to always do what I have to do when I have to do it, I start with small task like doing my devotion, getting out of bed and having my bath to get me ready for the day and I can tell you there has been lots of improvements... Write below, ways one can deal with procrastination. I do read all your comments and I appreciate the kind words often left  My Breakfast Kellogg's Cornflakes and its my best flakes since I discoverd it in 2012 before then I had Nasco and it doesn't taste as good as Kellogg's does, …

MAHOGANY(VINTAGE THRIFT)

Hello Loves, I remember getting this top and saying in my mind that it looked like the back of a shredded tree and funny enough I got to find a tree with same. I am a thrift queen, I love it because of the uniqueness of its pieces, and today I'm deciding to show some legs...hope everyone is having a nice time. By the way the word "MAHOGANY" means • a rich reddish-brown color like that of mahogany wood. This same top has been styled here HERE

JUMIA WE LOVE STYLE: DARING COLORS

Hey Everyone, Firstly let me start by saying I am a contributor for the Jumia we love style blog (HERE) and once in a while I'll update their page, but remember the orange pants I wrote about (HERE) this was how I got to style it  One of the beautiful things about summer, is the ability to rock colors and not look too brash. I barely do colors (except for blue and yellow) but I realized taking risk once in a while and adding a little fun color to once wardrobe isn't such a bad idea after all  and starting off with a color like orange was a first bold step.. The thing I find out with most bright colors is that if the look isn't monochromatic, you tend to try and use it with black to make the color pop and thats exactly what I did..

UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS AT PANDORA EVENT

Pandora is finally here in Abuja, and that means Abuja just got a little more charming.. Pandora is a charm bracelet and jewelry store with some of the finest detailed piece of jewelry. Every facet and Feature is quite distinct.. Thing is i've a little knowledge of these pieces but attending the store opening this Saturday, was eye opening, I had fellow blogger SARAHexplain better to me how important these items are.. one thing I noted though was that the price was on a high side, with most of the items pricing from N30,000 to N80,000, but they are worth it. so if you plan to visit the store I'm pretty sure you will find something for yourself and that special one Location Shop 31, Ceddi Plaza 264 Tafawa Balewa Way CBD,Abuja Phone: 08134786330 I met up with other social media users like Abuja facts and bloggers which was a delight.

IF I WAS TO SWIM

Its summer time and this period is occasioned with more outdoor activity as time permit, one thing however is that I am mostly with myself and doing something which might be considered not fun. my baby sister however got me this swimsuit from Atmosphere and I love the print and even though I don't swim, this would be my to go basic look, pairing it with sunglasses

SULTRY IN DAVOGIZ

I was gifted this lovely Zip me up and Zip me down gown by www.davogiz.comlast month and as y'all know I'm not one to show so much skin, but I loved the color, considering its spring and summer time and all things flowery and colorful seems eye catching, so I decided to go Sultry (awoman attractive in a way that suggests a passionate nature), on the outfit.. what are your thoughts

NEW IN (SHOPPING ON A BUDGET)

Recently I've gotten gift items from companies such as DAVOGIZVLISCOJUMIAand I love them all, so I'll share that as my new in for the month. I was lucky enough to get a gift voucher from jumbo and it gave me the opportunity to pick out what I wanted and the styling will be coming up soon.
I realized that shopping on a budget from Jumia online needed more skills than walking into a store to pick out an outfit.

First: you have to have an idea in mind of what you want to get, because just buying anything at all may have you end up picking what you won't like. This is the best time to get an item removed from your wish list and for me it was the Dolcis Fringe shoe
DOLSIS PATENT MOCASSIN FRINGE FLAT Secondly: Review products that are trending and see if you'll love to have that in your wardrobe, this could either be items from season trends or an item to make your wardrobe standout, this can be an opportunity to try on something different, like adding colors, I chose an ora…

GETTING CREATIVE WITH OBJECTS

Remember me talking of boredom in this post HEREand how you can go about it when you have bit free time on your hands and your brain is free to roam, yea.  So I decided to get creative from a tip I got off a fellow bloggers page CassieDaves where she gave us tips of getting colorful flatly using colorful cardboards and I decided to give it another try and with little objects around me, I did this collage

70's FLARE WITH WOODIN

I am sorry for the long absence and lack of constant post, life has been up and downs these few days, but it was beautiful to witness the successful transition in my country Nigeria. I've had this Woodin material delivered to me for quite a while now, and I was looking for a set time to make something off it, cos my work schedule could be hectic at times, so I decided to make the 70's flare pants, which is a trend everyone seems to be getting comfortable with.. Hope everyone has it good, what are your thoughts about the outfit?
